Dr. Udo Schutte started his dental practice in New York City in 1990. He graduated 1989 from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, but previously had practiced as a dentist in his native Germany: in 1983 he was awarded a doctorate in dentistry from the University of Bonn, Medical School. In 1984 Dr. Schutte was awarded a Graduate Fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago to specialize in restorative dentistry (Fixed Prosthodontics). And since choosing to make New York and the USA home to himself and his family, Dr. Schutte has continued to pursue his passion for continuing education and for teaching other dentists. He has lectured in the US and Germany in addition to teaching Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry at Columbia and New York University. In 1991 Dr. Schutte became Board Certified in Prosthodontics. In 1996 he complete his postgraduate program in Implant Dentistry at New York University.
